Dear Kenya Team,
1) You rock. You may be thinking, "How can he say this without knowing me?" You were created in God's image. Jesus rocks - you rock.
2) The bible says to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17), so lets be better at doing that. Consider setting your phone alarm to beep at the beginning of the hour, and let it be a reminder to pray. Then, reset the alarm for the next hour. Intense I know, but prayer is awesome and the more we pray the more we experience Matthew 11:30.
3) The bible also says to "rejoice always" (1 Thesalonians 5:16), so lets also be better at that. JOY is contagious. Lets set it in our hearts right now, that as a team we are going to be JOYFUL! We have decided, that we will be men and women of great JOY. Check out the end of Nehemiah 8:10.
4) How is everyone doing on support? For those of you who are fully supported, praise Jesus! Continue to be thankful. Often, we receive something so great, that we've been praying about for so long, and then we briefly thank God and start asking for the next thing. I do this often, but I am trying to become better at really taking time to simply thank God. If you are fully supported, consider being an advocate for your teammates. Our goal is that we as a team would be fully supported, so lets continue to pray and work until we see that happen! (email me your support status if you'd like, so we can be praying together towards the goal, capeofbloom@gmail.com)
5) This is a declaration from a Misty Edwards song, "I'm in love with God, and God's in love with me, this is who I am and this is who I'll be, and that settles it, completely." There is power in this statement. Let it be settled in our hearts that God LOVES us, no matter what. Let it be known that we love God, and choose to follow Him all the days of our lives. You are on His mind right now. He smiles upon you.
Get excited everyone! "Look at the nations and watch - and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told." (Habakkuk 1:5)
