AHHHHHHH WE ARE SO CLOSE GUYS!!!! I am getting so excited about this trip that I can’t stand it! I don’t know about you but for the past two months God has been seriously teaching me things and showing me things about myself just from trying to raise the support and funds for this trip. At first I didn’t know HOW IN THE WORLD I was going to be able to raise the money for this trip. I always thought I knew what true patience was …but…I was wrong. After all the letters, phone calls, and meetings with church board members and elders…the waiting began. For almost three weeks nothing happened and I was freaking out because Satan really took the down time to try and get into my head with lies like, “You can’t raise this money,” “You’re never going to be able to make a difference in the world,” and “You never heard from God, it was just your idea to go on a mission trip.” During all of this, now that I think about it, the Holy Spirit was speaking to my heart giving me a peace of mind and a reassurance that God had called me on the trip and would come through with the funds. Because even though I was attempting to raise the money and support, God is the one that is the Provider of EVERYTHING and who ultimately was going to get the money for me. Needless to say…GOD IS THE MAN!! Within a month I had SO much more that I could have expected, and from people that I would have least expected to give anything gave way above and beyond anything I could have imagined! I am still just a tad bit short but I know and believe that our Lord is an awesome God and the Provider of ALL our needs, not just finances but with emotional support and physical support. I hope that all of you are growing right now by just getting ready for this trip like I have been. And I pray that God would continue to provide for everything that we might possibly need and then go above and beyond our expectations! Love you guys, I know that I don’t know any of you but we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and for that I LOVE YOU!! Hahaha
