Hi everybody,

Is anyone else completely stoked about the God that we serve and about what He is about to do in each of our lives. I know I am! 

I should probably say a little bit about myself. My name is Jeremy and I am 19 years old. I have lived in Muskegon, Michigan all my life. I have a passion for children. My heart, love, excitement, and happiness ignites whenever I am around them. This God given passion has led me to pursue a children ministry degree that I will be working towards in the fall semester next year. Many people would say that I am busy, but come on...who isn't now days. I work about 15 hours a week, am a full time student, lead worship at my church, plan and teach children every Sunday, attend about 2 meetings a week with my pastor and children ministries coordinator, and somehow find time to still hang out with my friends and family. Now for the fun stuff! I love to laugh (I have about 20 different ones), sing, act, dance (although I look sort of funny doing it), use "ghetto" slang just because I sound so ridiculous when I say it, play volleyball, act like a "goof," but most of all I love what Christ has done for me and what He continues to do in my life!

God has done a lot of, what I like to call, "butt kicking" in my life these past couple years. About 2 years ago God revealed to me through the book "Crazy Love," by Francis Chan who I truly was: a luke warm, half hearted teenager whose claim to be a Christian was about as false as his Grandpa's teeth (Sorry Gramps...I couldn't resist...You know it was funny). I was living in my parent's faith instead of making it my own which was seriously inhibiting the way God wanted to work in my life. This revelation awoke my soul and truly freed me to be the man of God that I was created to be. From that moment on God has been at work within me. The trials have been difficult, but through Christ I have overcome! I look forward to the "butt kicking" that awaits me in Kenya. It will definitely be an adventure.
