Hey guys!

I am so stinkin' excited about this amazing journey that we are all about to embark on! I can't believe the wonderful things that the Lord has already done in my life to bring me to this point and I just know that He is going to blow our minds throughout the entire trip.

My name is Ashley Varner! I am 20 years old and I live in Cumming, Ga! I love kids so much! I miss working with them! This will be my 2nd time going to Kenya! Things that God did in my life and in the lives around me last time have definitely impacted me in a major way! All I want to do now is travel the world and tell people about God and His great love for us! I have a lot of energy and passion, but sometimes I don't know what to do with it! I can't wait to harness all of that and use it to share Him with everyone that we come into contact with!

Last summer I worked at a camp in East Texas called Sky Ranch. The entire summer I struggled with homesickness. While I was home on vacation for a week, I went to a prayer night. I prayed and prayed that God would direct me. Ihad no idea why I was in Texas or what I was going to do when I got home. So a couple months later, God opened up door after door.. but none of them seemed right. So, I prayed and prayed. While I was sitting at my favorite coffee shop, the answer was revealed. Shortly after that, everything started lining up for me to go back to Kenya.

Prayer has been a major player in my relationship with Christ, as it should be. I just want you all to know just how powerful prayer really is. When we feel discouraged, attacked, and vulerable, just having a conversation with our Lord can do wonders! I will be praying for all of you throughout this entire journey! I know that He will do great things!!

I already love all of you! If any of you have specific prayer requests, please share them so that we can all be praying for each other. We are a team! I am so pumped to spend time with all of you and work along side of you!
